As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach, while staying agile, reliable, and innovative during daily operations. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable laws, and site directives, using sound judgment and clear communication.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity.
Control access at designated points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other security-related systems, and report irregular conditions or hazards to appropriate personnel.
Write detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, documenting observations, actions taken, and follow-up notifications.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or on-site leadership when escalation is needed, maintaining scene awareness until relieved.
Perform vehicle patrols and/or foot patrols as required, adapting to changing operational needs, weather, and traffic conditions.
Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place directives, and medical response calls, following site-specific instructions and Allied Universal guidelines.
