As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and exceptional communication will support a positive atmosphere, while you provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Hold an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting and reporting any unusual conditions or potential hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or suspicious occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
Collaborate with facility personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns in an aerospace and defense location.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
