About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Clearance Patrol in Independence, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements
- A minimum of three years combined law enforcement military or security experience or a college degree is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the business interior and its perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or security-related issues within the location.
- Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance as needed while upholding site rules and regulations.
- Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms in accordance with company and site-specific requirements, ensuring proper handling at all times.
