Join Allied Universal at a government location as an Access Control Security Officer, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor assigned areas to help support a secure environment. You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document security-related activity with professionalism and integrity. This is an armed post and requires a valid driver’s license for driving duties as needed. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entrances and/or gates by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing visitors to the appropriate areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized access by following post orders and reporting procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical responses, and/or coordination with on-site personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building perimeters and common areas, to identify maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and document observations per site requirements.
