About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Branch Security in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, delivering outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with clients and visitors. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution’s premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and reporting any irregularities according to site protocols.
Assist with access control measures, including checking identification and logging visitor information as required by site policies.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established communication protocols.
Complete detailed and accurate incident and patrol reports, documenting observations and actions taken during the shift.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential risks and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
