As a Security Officer - Armed Branch Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol financial institution locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for clients and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols and respond to incidents as needed, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of the financial institution to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Follow all protocols for handling access control, visitor management, and/or restricted areas within the location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or critical events.
  • Adhere to all company and client policies regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.
