Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access control points and verify identification as required for entry to restricted areas within the location.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial setting.
- Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and medical emergencies, as directed by site protocols.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal policies.
