Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed ATM Patrol in Hialeah, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or suspicious activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and local responders while delivering customer-focused service. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or license with Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location while assigned to an armed post.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, disturbances, and/or medical events, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas including parking lots, entrances, ATM areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor flow, verifying identification when required, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Complete detailed written reports and security-related logs, report hazards and/or suspicious activity to site leadership, and follow Allied Universal post orders for firearm handling, storage, and use of force guidelines.
