Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Arrestee Transport in New Port Richey, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this armed and driving role, you will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activities and report any irregularities or incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Interact professionally with public officials, staff, and visitors while upholding all security-related protocols and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related emergencies and/or incidents as they arise.
