About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol Driver in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Our Armed Officers at a leading aerospace and defense location conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post where you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, innovative Allied Universal team.

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and follow post orders for handling deliveries, vehicles, and sensitive areas.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities by assisting with evacuations, access restrictions, and coordination with local responders when appropriate.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
