Security Officer - Armed Aerospace Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Industrial in Renton, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location as an armed, driving Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Working with integrity and teamwork in a caring culture, you will respond to reports, document activity, and support smooth operations with agile, reliable, and innovative service.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production and office areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and documenting visitor and contractor activity per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports on security-related incidents, patrol observations, and/or policy violations, and maintain required logs and documentation.
