Armed Security Officer
About The Position
Afognak Diversified Services, Inc a company of Afognak Native Corporation has opportunity for a Part-time Armed Security Officer in Wichita, KS. The Armed Security Officer secures the facility under established operating procedures and processes. Responds to a variety of calls/incidents Secures/safeguards specific scenes Performs crowd control as required Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks; as well as First Aid and CPR as required. Completes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security application Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons, maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies Operates patrol vehicle in a safe manner, conducts flag protocols, safe guards all assets Provides motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP’s
Requirements
- Three (3) years of security experience within the past five (5) years or, An Associate's degree, or at least 60-semester hours college credit in any field of study or, Three (3) years military or National Guard experience, (active or reserve) or, Successful completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST) course, or any reasonable combination of above.
- City of Wichita issued security License
- Obtain conceal and Carry permit
- Must be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV’s, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications
- Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation
- Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications
- Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications
- Must be able to successfully complete approximately 80 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week)
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test
