As a Security Officer - Gate Screening Patrol Driver in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, screen entry points, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will remain highly visible, support orderly traffic flow, and help to deter incidents through consistent procedures and professional customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and contractors for authorized access, including verifying identification and/or credentials, managing entry logs, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Conduct screening of packages, bags, and/or shipments as assigned, observing for prohibited items and escalating concerns through the established reporting chain.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, dock zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, noting irregularities and reporting them promptly.
