As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, perform screening operations, and support access control while maintaining a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and communicate clearly with associates and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Previous alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Previous X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and deliveries as required, verifying identification and authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Monitor access points, entrances, and dock areas for unusual activity, reporting concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including interior and exterior areas, noting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations for follow-up.
