Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entrances, credential checks, visitor logs, and/or delivery access to help support authorized entry throughout the healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts according to post instructions.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for access control concerns, unsecured areas, and/or other security-related issues.
Document incidents, visitor activity, and/or access-related events in required reports, and report maintenance, life-saving equipment, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
