About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Screening in Westlake Village, CA. This full-time role involves serving and safeguarding clients in residential industries. The officer will monitor entry points, manage access control procedures, and provide strong customer service and communication to support a welcoming environment. Responsibilities also include conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility to deter security incidents, and contributing to a culture built on teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for community access, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property contacts, residents, and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require security-related attention.
  • Support community rules and property protocols by addressing questions, providing directions, and reporting maintenance, parking, and/or policy-related concerns through appropriate channels.
