As a Security Officer Access Screening in SALINAS, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location where you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this access control role, you will help support daily operations, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and bring a caring, reliable, and team-focused approach rooted in integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or reception areas to help control employee, visitor, and contractor access in accordance with site rules and posted requirements.
  • Verify identification, visitor logs, delivery paperwork, and/or vehicle entry documentation while reporting unusual activity, discrepancies, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require security-related follow-up.
