Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor activity, and support a professional, welcoming experience for visitors and team members. You will stay visible, provide strong customer service and communication, and contribute to security-related operations with agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to control authorized access to the location in accordance with client-specific protocols.
Screen and document visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors, maintain accurate entry and exit records, and communicate access-related information to site contacts as needed.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
