As a Security Officer Access Screening Associate in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor access, and help to deter unauthorized entry and other security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related issues.
  • Document incidents, access activity, and daily observations in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems according to site procedures.
