Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting authorized entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor entry points, badge activity, and visitor logs to help maintain orderly access to utility-related facilities, restricted areas, and other designated locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unauthorized access, damaged barriers, and other conditions that may require security-related attention.
  • Document incidents, access exceptions, and daily activity in required reports, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
