About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Driver in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and contractors, and maintain clear logs and communication with site teams. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach help to deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth daily operations. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license for the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials when directed, and documenting arrivals and departures in required logs.
  • Conduct vehicle and/or package screening as directed, observe for prohibited items or unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible post presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and preparing clear incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of controlled entry areas and nearby perimeter points as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
