You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to issues with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while performing access control at a logistics and distribution location, following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Control entry and exit for employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by checking identification, issuing badges and/or passes, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Coordinate with onsite personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and trailer movements; verify appointments and shipping documentation as required by post orders.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate contacts per escalation guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, yard areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
