As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and support employees and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Operate access control at manufacturing and industrial locations by verifying identification, processing visitor registrations, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
• Monitor and/or control vehicle and pedestrian entry points, including delivery and contractor access, to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site contacts and/or emergency responders as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter, reporting maintenance concerns and unusual activity per site procedures.
