About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Desk Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will help manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor entry points to support a secure environment. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and deliver strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting badges, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and maintaining required access logs.
  • Screen and direct employees, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles according to site requirements, including verifying authorization and coordinating with site contacts for approvals and/or escorts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating timely updates to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, gates, and perimeter routes, reporting unusual conditions and/or policy violations per post orders.
