About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Desk Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and track visitors and vehicles while maintaining a professional, visible presence. You will complete routine patrols, support security-related incident reporting, and provide clear customer service and communication to team members and drivers. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor logs and/or badge procedures, and communicate access issues to site leadership per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching appropriate resources and completing incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by maintaining a visible presence at gates and lobby areas, observing CCTV and/or alarm systems as assigned, and reporting security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision.
