About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Desk Driver in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, and support badge and credential verification at key entry points. You will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while providing clear communication and customer-focused service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a caring team that values integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site requirements, directing traffic flow and coordinating entry and/or staging as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documentation, and notification to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
