As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A TSA issued TWIC is required.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or authorized personnel by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a government location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor activity to help support authorized access throughout the location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Communicate with site contacts, staff, and/or the public regarding access procedures, restricted areas, and security-related concerns while maintaining professional conduct.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, checkpoints, and perimeter areas as assigned, noting conditions and reporting issues that could impact daily operations.
