As a Security Officer Access Controller in Clearwater Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and security-related policies at a technology and communications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors and deliveries, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent identification checks and badge control.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, access points, and surrounding areas, noting unusual activity, equipment issues, and other security-related concerns for documentation and follow-up.
