As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Fontana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage badge access, verify credentials, greet visitors and contractors, and document entries and incidents with clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns while supporting production operations. Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, badging requirements, and security-related protocols at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or screening points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery paperwork, and by directing traffic and visitors to designated areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and supporting emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
- Monitor and operate access control systems such as visitor management logs, credential readers, CCTV, and/or alarm panels, and report irregularities to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, docks, and restricted areas for unusual conditions and reporting concerns per site policy.
