As a Security Officer - Visitor Credentialing in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by checking badges, verifying visitors, and logging deliveries and/or contractors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and report security-related concerns with clear communication. Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to client staff, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification, processing visitor and vendor check-in and/or check-out, managing truck and trailer arrivals, and issuing temporary credentials as authorized.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, gates, and access control systems; document and report unusual activity, maintenance issues, and policy exceptions through approved communication channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or loss, and complete detailed reports and logs.
