Job Description As a Security Officer - Turnstile Control in Minooka, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and monitor visitor, employee, and truck activity. You will perform routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication. Bring a people-first mindset, integrity, and teamwork as you support smooth operations every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Manage access control at entrances, gates, and/or docks by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing deliveries to the appropriate staging areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic including employees, visitors, and drivers, verifying appointments and/or shipping paperwork as required, and communicating issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying appropriate personnel per site policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for irregular activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations that may help to deter unauthorized access.
