Security Officer - Access Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control in Spirit Lake, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will manage access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and tracking entries and exits. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams to help support security-related operations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out processes, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to authorized areas.
- Monitor access points, alarms, and camera systems as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting site personnel during emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
