As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain clear logs of arrivals, departures, and deliveries. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing contractor check-in and/or check-out, and directing traffic flow for the location.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, document routine activity, and report irregular conditions in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
