As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving position. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment, all while being part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the distribution center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or breaches of policy to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, vendors, and employees with access control procedures while maintaining a professional and customer-focused demeanor.
  • Support Allied Universal in maintaining a visible presence and upholding security-related standards specific to the retail distribution center environment.
