As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by addressing questions and assisting with directions or information as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or lockdown procedures.
Collaborate with site staff and other Allied Universal personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment at the logistics and distribution location.
