As a Security Officer - Access Control Full Time in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A valid guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Current CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately during emergency situations.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff as needed to support security-related operations.
Document and report incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel to help to deter security-related risks in a technology-focused environment.
