Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants. You will monitor access, manage badge systems, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, reliability, and integrity are valued every day.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors and tenants at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Monitor access to the location, greeting guests and verifying identification as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and any security-related incidents at the front desk.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
Support the overall security-related operations of the location by remaining alert and attentive to the surroundings from the front desk area.
