As a Security Officer, you will help manage entry points by checking credentials and badges, monitoring visitors and deliveries, and documenting security-related activity. You will also conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, while delivering strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location.
Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing deliveries and service providers per site requirements.
Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms, and/or intercoms; report irregular activity, equipment concerns, and policy issues through the appropriate channels.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting medical staff and/or management as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify hazards, and verify doors, gates, and restricted areas are secured per post orders.
