Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas while remaining highly visible at key entry points. You will conduct screening activities, support access control, and assist with routine checks to help reduce security-related incidents and keep operations moving. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen and control access at entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries to the appropriate location.
  • Conduct screening of packages, parcels, and/or personal items in accordance with post orders, documenting results and escalating prohibited or suspicious items to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support site operations.
