As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, direct visitors and drivers, and support employee check-in procedures. You will conduct routine patrols and stay highly visible to help discourage incidents, while documenting activity and communicating clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site associates, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and maintaining access logs.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating with the gate and warehouse team on truck arrivals, directing vehicle traffic as assigned, and checking trailer and seal information per site procedure.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
