You will use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused service while helping maintain orderly, security-related operations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing vehicle access, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; document activity in logs and reports, and communicate noteworthy information to site contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with site response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as gates, fences, buildings, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
