Join Allied Universal at a busy chemical and petrochemical location where you will support access control by checking credentials, issuing and tracking badges, and managing visitor and contractor entry. You will use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused service while helping maintain orderly, security-related operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing vehicle access, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; document activity in logs and reports, and communicate noteworthy information to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with site response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as gates, fences, buildings, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
