As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. You'll interact with visitors and staff, check credentials, and provide outstanding customer service. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your duties.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience working at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry into designated areas within a technology and media-focused location.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Respond promptly and calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, access violations, and/or maintenance issues as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff to support security-related operations and maintain a secure environment.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to occupants within the location.
