As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. You'll interact with visitors and staff, check credentials, and provide outstanding customer service. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your duties.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience working at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry into designated areas within a technology and media-focused location.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
Respond promptly and calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any unusual activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, access violations, and/or maintenance issues as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with on-site staff to support security-related operations and maintain a secure environment.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to occupants within the location.
