You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine rounds as needed, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Support access control operations by verifying credentials, managing visitor registration and badging, issuing temporary access as authorized, and maintaining access logs and reports.
  • Monitor entry points, alarms, and/or surveillance systems for unusual activity, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and assisting with investigations as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for signs of unauthorized access or tampering; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
