Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Odessa, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Perform access control duties by monitoring entry and exit points at the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing questions and assisting with directions or information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns or unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including coordinating with first responders and site personnel.
  • Communicate security-related concerns or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership in a timely manner.
