About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Stockton, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will focus on access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and managing sign-in and delivery logs. You will remain highly visible, monitor activity and cameras, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. Bring strong customer service, clear communication, and integrity while supporting a caring, agile team that works together to get results.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances, gates, and/or guard stations by checking identification and access credentials, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras when assigned, and document unusual activity, access violations, and/or equipment concerns in written reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
