About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, working closely with site personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
Maintain detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors regarding access procedures and site policies.
Assist with enforcing site rules and regulations to help to deter disruptions within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
