As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors only.
  • Assist with security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and client protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access control and site navigation.
  • Collaborate with facility management and emergency services as needed during incidents or drills.
