As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activities within the chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Provide customer service and support to employees, visitors, and contractors by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding access protocols and security-related matters.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential hazards specific to a chemical or petrochemical setting.
  • Maintain accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local site personnel to report unusual activities and/or security-related concerns.
