Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Residential in Newport Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with residents and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Assist residents and guests with inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.
  • Document and report any unusual or suspicious activities observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with local authorities as directed by Allied Universal policies.
