As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will support security-related screening operations by checking people and items entering key areas, verifying identification and badges, and documenting activity. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and help reduce loss through consistent procedures. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers entering and exiting the facility, including verifying identification, checking appointments and/or shipping documentation, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, and alarm systems, reporting unusual activity and completing required logs and reports in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
